Please note: There’s a new (2019) USGA local rule regarding Out of Bounds and also Lost Ball that has caused some confusion.  Although the pros may not use this rule, it is USGA implemented and is intended for us amateurs provided your the local golf course implements the rule… Belleview and Sutton Creek both do.  For clarification regarding this rule please see the following link to the USGA page that explains it and also has a short video on it.  • Stroke and Distance: New Local Rule

Also note that there is an error on our rules PDF (that will be corrected) regarding dropping the ball when taking relief from cart paths, penalty drops etc. USGA 2019 states the ball is now to be dropped from knee height, NOT shoulder…  dropping from shoulder height and take your shot results in a penalty, but if you drop from shoulder and realize it prior to taking your shot you can, without penalty, re-drop from knee height and then proceed to take your shot.
For clarification please see USGA official rules…  the following link is just a basic explanation of the dropping procedure – New Procedure for Dropping a Ball

May 29th Schedule…

The schedule has been updated for the 29th of May.

On another note:

A little Internet 101 if you will… I understand that not everyone is tech savvy when it comes to the internet and that’s okay, I’m just respectfully making a simple suggestion here for those of you that are not.  The reason being that I sometimes have people tell me they’re seeing old info on the website from previous years etc…  the problem is usually because so many people get in the bad habit of using Google or other search engines every time they want to pull up a website even though they visit it on a regular basis. So finding old info / dead links etc. is pretty normal because it’s a search engine  and has a collection of many years worth of info that isn’t always current.

My suggestion is to always us the website URL http://www.riversideputters.ca to get to the website directly from your web browser whether it’s Firefox, Chrome, etc. and not do a search for it every time.  Simply type in the URL (website address) into the address bar at the top of your web browser and that will take you to our main page, then I suggest you bookmark the main page.

If anyone is still confused / having a hard time with this, please don’t hesitate to ask me for help, I’ll do by best.

Cheers!
Frank
